  Hi, thank you for dropping by. I'm Roland Kahlenberg, the Designer and Developer of MAG - Make Ae Great.
  
  I've been using After Effects for about 28 years and I first started teaching After Effects almost 25 years ago, shortly after receiving my Adobe Certified Expert Certification in Adobe After Effects. It's been a long ride, for sure.
  
  Other than these training spurts and sprints over the years, I've spent lots of years helping other users through Mailing Lists and at CreativeCOW.net and the Official Adobe After Effects Online Forum.
  
  The motivation to develop these tools is to help After Effects users optimize workflows and increase their creative options. With the introduction of AI, jobs are getting scarce and knowledge and skills requirements have increased by quite a lot. While I do offer Advanced After Effects Training to help users to not only keep up with the times but to become stakeholders; decision-makers and the driving force in the area of bespoke content creation for their own future and for the companies they work with, I decided to develop tools to help a much larger group of users achieve greater success with their work in After Effects.
  
  After Effects is and will always be one of the most well-made applications but there will always be areas where its design and efficiency and creative options can be improved - nothing is perfect and everything can and should be improved.
  
  And so we're here - MAG, short for, Make Ae Great is a set of 20+ Pro-Level Scripts developed using AI Coding Assistants coupled with my experience and desires as an After Effects user for the last 28 years.
  
  I've been using/testing these scripts for the past 3 months and it's been an enjoyable experience - they truly enhance workflows and the Keyframe Orchestrator is an After Effects toy you will enjoy playing with for many, many hours - the ability to control a few hundred layers and their keyframes without having to manually select a single keyframe is very liberating. And you get lots of features to control keyframe values, time and speed.

KEYFRAME ORCHESTRATOR

This is arguably the most powerful tool in MAG - create, animate and manage hundreds or thousands of keyframes and layers without touching a single keyframe.

Keyframe Orchestrator is all about creating Hero Sequences - orchestrate the animation of hundreds of layers at will - control keyframe easing at the click of a button - move, stagger with a multitude of options.
Keyframe Orchestrator is going to help you earn lots of new clients and money.

Stagger keyframes based on layer attributes such as Layer Index, Scale, Layer Width, Opacity, Name, Numbered Suffix, Position etc.

This tool will expand your creativity in new ways you never thought possible in After Effects.

ALIGN CLONE DISTRIBUTE CLONE - ACDC

modLAYER SELECTOR

mod is short for Modern . This Layer Selector is designed for selecting and managing layers based on either timeline stacking or time delineation.

Combine modLAYER SELECTOR with LAYER GROUPER to create layer groups in your timeline, to manage layers effectively so you gain control of your timeline and not the other way around.

modLAYER SELECTOR includes support for Special Commands, Regex and Boolean search. Copy from sample search terms and patterns that are available from inline Help Texts.

Special Commands allow for selection of layers with unique attributes - hidden and locked, hidden with keyframes, with keyframes. Lots of options including searching for numbers using inequality (>, <, >=). Select Numbered Prefix/Suffix. Incredibly powerful to search and organize your layers.

Nth LAYER SELECTOR

Nth LAYER SELECTOR is our second Layer Selector and it's designed for selecting layers based on source and timeline attributes. Search/Select using simple or complex combinations of filters.

Nth LAYER SELECTOR includes support for Special Commands, Regex and Boolean search. Copy from sample search terms and patterns that are available from inline Help Texts.

Supports identical Special Commands used in modLayerSelector.

LAYER SWAP

Layer Swap is an innovative tool that will open lots of creative options for you. Layer Swap solves the age-old problem of replacing Shape Layers with other layer types.

Layer Swap is your goto when you want to swap two or more layers' position. Include scale, mask, opacity and expressions as part of the swap.

You can also swap hundreds of layers with a single layer which will be duplicated internally and then swapped with the selected layers - this is great for replacing Shape Layers that have been baked from their Repeater Filter.

RESPONSIVE TRANSITIONS

Responsive Transitions intelligently detects layer type to deploy effects that create Responsive Transitions for Scale, Wipe and Slide. The script deploys an Animation Controller which you can use to create Transition-In and Transition-Out effects and a Drop Menu provides up to 9 transition directions.

RESPONSIVE LINES

Responsive Lines creates lines that react responsively to a layer's edges. Use this to create responsive grids or to place graphic elements onto the edges of a layer - make it POP! :-)

Customize lines by segments or whole lines. Output Nulls so you can hook up effect position properties.

ANIMATED RIBBONS

Animated Ribbon is an automated process to create seamlessly looping animated ribbons.

Depending on how quick and complex your set up is, it may take a minute or less to create a seamless looping Animated Ribbon made up of multiple layers. Animated Ribbon also makes it really easy to make adjustments to output to different frame sizes.

MARKER MAKER

Marker Maker is an exceptional add-on with lots of features that make marker creation and adjustment a breeze.

Features include intelligent stagger, repeater, copy comp markers to other comps, color & re-color markers and use timeline delineation and layer selection to select affected markers.

EXPRESSION LINKS

Easily create centralized control of effects and their properties to speed up workflows.

Includes Expression Utilities to toggle and clear Expressions. Save/Backup Expressions as a layer marker comment.

EXPRESSIONS BAKERY

Expressions Bakery has lots of features missing in most other Expressions Baker add-ons.

Expressions Bakery allows you to bake based on Timeline, Work Area and a Single Frame. An Intelligent Bake feature bakes keyframes only when there is a value change. Bake to different keyframe types - Linear, Hold, Bezier (Continuous), and Roving.

Don't bake for the sake of baking - make use of the baked keyframes to create interesting animation effects - time-stretching keyframes set to Hold keyframes usually produces interesting visual effects.

PATH TRANSFORMER

Path Transformer provides slider controls to scale, rotate, shift, and flip motion paths.

Path Transformer is incredibly powerful for creating pixel-perfect motion designs which is great for brand rollouts and when designing and animating visually intricate relationships.

LAYER SEQUENCER

Layer Sequencer is an upgrade on the built-in Sequencer Feature but there's more!

Swap Layers and Close Gaps with a single click

This is an excellent script for prepping audio for short, sizzler animations or for timing your boards or for final tweaks to edits that started in Adobe Premiere Pro.

MULTIRENAMER

MultiRenamer provides a UI to centrally rename Project Items and Layer Names.

MultiRenamer also supports renaming queued Render Items and also includes a feature to remove frame numbering for single-frame outputs.

SHOW COMP SIZE

Show CompSize creates a Guide Text Layer with a Backing Panel that displays a composition's size and framerate. You can apply this in the current composition, compositions you select in the Project Panel or in all existing compositions in the Project.

You can reapply and the script intelligent updates an existing Text+Panel so that you never have duplicate placements

TEXT ID

Text ID creates a marker on Text Layers with text to describe if a Text Layer is a Point Text or a Paragraph (Box) Text.

The script checks all Text Layers and creates a marker for each Text Layer and writes a Marker Comment stating the type of Text Layer it is.

You can apply this in the current composition, compositions selected in the Project Panel or in all existing compositions in the Project.

Drop Menu Maker

This script allows you to create Drop Menus quickly and easily. It deploys Expression Code that includes the Drop Menu options. You can deploy the Expressions directly to a selected property or to a Layer Marker Comment for temporary storage until you are ready to deploy the Expression to a property.

- ALT/OPT + Shift on a checkbox solos the checkbox within its group of checkboxes


SHIFT + Click is a Contextual, All-Toggle Checkbox Selection:

- SHIFT + Click on an unchecked checkbox will check/select all checkboxes.

- SHIFT + Click on a checked checkbox will deselect/uncheck all checkboxes.


- Click works as a toggle - check/uncheck depending on initial state of the checkbox
